Money // A Weekly Resolution>
As the holidays come to an end, it's officially time to set those New Year's resolutions! I've already got mine mapped out, but if you're still stuck trying to figure yours out, don't worry—I've got just the thing for you. It's a super manageable goal that can make a big difference, especially in the first half of the year.
Introducing the 52 Week Money Challenge. This clever idea involves setting aside a specific amount each week corresponding to the week of the year. So, for instance, in Week One, you’d put away $1. By Week 52, you'd save $52. Sounds simple, right? But here’s the kicker: if you stick to it, you'll have nearly $1,400 saved by the end of the year! That’s enough to cover a nice vacation, an emergency fund boost, or even a head start on next year's holiday shopping.
I’ve created a handy chart you can download to keep track of your progress. It’s a great way to stay motivated and see how quickly small efforts add up. Let’s all commit to being smarter about our finances in 2014. Join me in this challenge!
Now, onto my second resolution: to be more present at home. Life gets busy, and we often find ourselves glued to our phones when we should be focusing on what really matters. Whether it’s watching my son build snowmen or just enjoying quiet moments together, I want to make sure I’m fully there—not mentally checking out. There’s so much beauty in the everyday moments if we take the time to notice them.
As we wrap up this year, let’s all try to focus on what truly counts. Whether it’s saving money, spending quality time with loved ones, or simply being more mindful, let’s aim to grow and improve in ways that feel meaningful. Here’s to a fresh start in 2014!
If you’ve already made some resolutions, share them with me! I’d love to hear what you’re hoping to achieve this year. Until then, here’s to staying present, saving smart, and making 2014 unforgettable. Happy New Year, everyone!
P.S. Don’t forget to download the 52 Week Money Challenge chart—it’s a game-changer. And remember, every little bit counts when it comes to building better habits.
