Too much vitamin D can cause excessive calcium mobilization from bones and increased intestinal absorption, leading to elevated blood calcium levels. This can result in calcium deposits in soft tissues like the arteries, joints, kidneys, and heart, causing symptoms such as loss of appetite, diarrhea, kidney stones, and potentially fatal uremia.
