Koi breeding and selection techniques
After the 72 broodstocks were fully grown and matured, we initiated artificial ovulation, spawning, and hatching in indoor facilities at the start of April. The fry successfully transitioned to outdoor ponds, marking a critical milestone in the breeding process. By June, we had collected over 2.1 million fry from all the nursery ponds, demonstrating strong growth and survival rates.
Following industry standards for Koi selection, we carefully evaluated and selected the first batch of Koi fry. This process ensured only the highest quality fish were chosen. As a result, we obtained 320,000 high-quality Koi fry. These young fish exhibited excellent physical characteristics, with vibrant colors and robust body structures, making them ideal for further cultivation. The success of this phase has laid a solid foundation for our future Koi farming efforts.
