After pruning during low temperatures, it’s important to minimize wounds and apply cut-off oil to protect them. If rot disease occurs, especially in spring and fall, farmers should use fungicides such as 3% thiophanate-methyl, ganconazole, gulex, rot rick, or schnail. It's also crucial to monitor frozen or dead shoots after germination to prevent outbreaks of rot disease.
