Summer maintenance of agricultural vehicle brake system

Summer maintenance of agricultural vehicle brake system

In order to prevent the brake failure of agricultural vehicles in the high temperature season and ensure the safety of driving, the following points should be used in use:
First, do not use alcohol type and mineral oil type brake fluid. To use high-quality synthetic brake fluid, this brake fluid has a balanced reflux boiling point of at least 190°C. Under high temperature conditions, it is not easy to produce "air resistance", and at the same time it does not cause corrosion and swelling to the rubber parts of the brake system.
Second, we must constantly check and adjust the technical status of the braking system. Including: (1) Add and replace brake fluid in time. (2) Correctly adjust the brake clearance to prevent direct contact between the brake linings and the brake drum, which is too small or in normal driving, and the brake operating temperature is too high. (3) Completely eliminate the air in the hydraulic brake system. (4) If it is found that the brake hose, the transfer pump cup, and the brake shoe lining are damaged, replace it in time.
Third, if you feel that the brake pedal is soft during driving, you should stop immediately and rest in a cool place to cool the brake drum.
4. If the agricultural vehicle is operated under harsh conditions for a long time, consider installing a brake drum dripping cooling device to improve the cooling conditions of the brake drum. However, do not pour cold water into the tire immediately after stop to prevent the brake drum from cracking.
Fifth, to strengthen the maintenance of the brakes, cleaning and derusting shall be carried out on the fine dust, oil, rust, and friction lining accumulated in the wheel brakes; for the oil stains on the brake linings, the cause must be identified and eliminated. Then replace the grease-contaminated friction plate.
6. When repairing the brake drum, the "sulfuric acid corrosion method" can be used to remove the hardened layer on the surface of the brake drum. The method is: washing the surface of the brake drum with the electrolyte (sulfuric acid solution) of the cotton yarn, cleaning the surface of the brake drum with the corrosiveness of the sulfuric acid solution, and then using a clean cotton yarn to brake the hardened layer. The surface of the drum is wiped clean, and the brake friction plate is sanded with a coarse emery cloth. Finally, the assembly and adjustment are performed according to the repair process.
