Summer cultivation of tomatoes Wang Yi prevention of physiological diseases

Tomato cultivation in summer is generally started in late May and transplanted in the field in mid-June. The fruit is listed in the middle and late August. Because the tomato growing season is in high temperature and rainy season in summer, physiological diseases are the common diseases that affect the normal growth and development of tomato, and can increase the occurrence of tomato infestation diseases.

Through investigation and analysis, the main causes of physiological diseases are: (1) The large amount of fertilizer used, the high concentration of soil solution, coupled with the high temperature and drought on the surface, caused poor root growth and development, and the transformation of nitrogen forms was difficult. There is thickening and curling of the middle and lower leaves, poor growth, and even dryness. (2) Too much nitrogen and phosphorus lead to relatively insufficient trace elements such as potassium, calcium, and boron. The antagonistic effect between the elements is obvious and the effectiveness is poor. It cannot be absorbed and utilized, making nutrient synthesis, operation, and distribution difficult.

Control methods:

(1) Adhere to the principle of using basal fertilizer as the main principle and topdressing as the supplement, and appropriately increase the application amount of basal fertilizer. Through field investigation, the application amount of basal fertilizer can account for 75% to 80% of the planned fertilization amount in the whole growth period, which has a good effect on enhancing plant growth and increasing resilience.

(2) Apply formula fertilization, increase organic fertilizer, balance the application of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, apply trace element fertilizers in the application, strictly prohibit the use of excessive nitrogen fertilizers, apply more humic acid fertilizers with improved conditioning, strong buffering properties, and increase soil Permeability promotes root development.

(3) timely watering. The growth period of tomatoes in summer is in high temperature and rainy season. Pay attention to balanced water supply in the result period, timely watering and rowing, and prohibit long-term accumulation of water or drought in the field to ensure a balanced supply of water.

(4) Add trace elements. When tomatoes are deficient in calcium, 1% superphosphate leaching solution can be used to spray the leaves. Boron deficiency can be used when the concentration of 0.2% ~ 0.5% borax aqueous solution foliar spray.

(5) Control locusts, whiteflies, leafhoppers, etc. to improve the plant's resistance to disease. Can be used 3% acetamiprid 750 times or 10% imidacloprid wettable powder 1500 times spray.
