Packaging machinery definition and classification

Packaging machinery definition and classification

First, the definition of packaging machinery

A packaging machine is a type of machine that performs all or part of the packaging process. The packaging process includes the main packaging processes such as filling, wrapping, sealing, and related pre- and post-processes, such as cleaning, drying, sterilization, stacking, disassembly, etc., as well as auxiliary processes such as printing, labeling, and metering.

Second, the classification of packaging machinery

1. Classified according to the degree of automation of the packaging machinery.

(1) Automatic packaging machine. The automatic packaging machine is a machine that automatically supplies packaging materials and contents, and can automatically complete other packaging processes.
(2) Semi-automatic packaging machine. The semi-automatic packaging machine is a machine that manually supplies packaging materials and contents, but can automatically complete other packaging processes.

2. Classified by type of packaged product.

(1) Special packaging machine. A special packaging machine is a machine that is specially used to package a certain product.
(2) Multi-purpose packaging machine. A multi-purpose packaging machine is a machine that can package two or more products by adjusting or replacing the relevant working parts.
(3) Universal packaging machine. Universal packaging machines are machines that are suitable for packaging two or more different types of products within the specified range.

3. Classified by function of packaging machinery

Packaging machinery can be divided into different functions: filling machinery, filling machinery, wrapping machinery, sealing machinery, labeling machinery, cleaning machinery, drying machinery, sterilization machinery, strapping machinery, container machinery, multi-function packaging machinery, and finishing Auxiliary packaging machinery for other packaging operations. This classification method is adopted by China's national standards. For details, see the third section of this chapter.

4. Packaging production line

A production line that can complete a series of packaging operations, that is, a packaging production line, consisting of several packaging machines and other auxiliary equipment.
