Due to the import of jasmine rice, there will be no impact on the price of rice in Indonesia because most people in Indonesia consume medium-quality rice. At the same time, Indonesia is also requested to consider signing a new Memorandum of Understanding for Rice (MOU). The currently used MOU will expire in December next year.

In Malaysia, the Thai side has ensured that there is enough long-term supply of rice to Malaysia, and the agency intends to conduct official exchanges (G2G) with Malaysia to maintain the friendly relations between the two countries. Thailand will sell rice to Malaysia at the price of friendship. Malaysia also recognizes that the quality of Thai rice is better than other countries. If the price of Thai rice is not much higher than that of competitors, Malaysia is willing to increase imports of rice from Thailand.
