Spring Tea Tea Garden Pest Control

Spring tea season is the main harvest period of tea, and it is also the initial stage of tea garden pests and diseases. At this time, multiple batches of tea are harvested in batches, and the general diseases and pests are not heavy and do not require medication. If the pests of the individual species are relatively serious, biologics may be used for treatment. There are more rains in the near future and some pests and diseases may occur.

1. The characteristics of major diseases and insect pests during spring tea

(1) Insect pests: 1 The first generation of tea black poison moth, tea caterpillar, tea-foot eating increased gradually, tea black venom moth, tea caterpillar began to damage the new surface of tea leaves. From the end of 24th to the beginning of May, the first generation of the tea leafroller larvae was infested. In early March, the first generation of black locust larvae began to incur damage, with more in the middle and lower part of the tea bush. 4 False-eye small green leafhoppers, green-lipped pheasants, tea pheasants, and tea moths also began to harm one after another.

(2) Diseases: 1 The tea bud blight is a kind of low-temperature disease that reaches the peak of disease from mid-April to early May. 2 Tea leukosis is a disease of low temperature and high humidity, and it was prosperous in May. High-grade tea gardens or tea gardens lacking fertilizers and fertilizers are susceptible to overuse of nitrogenous fertilizers. Excessive picking and tea tree disease are serious. 3 Chayuan's disease is also widespread from late April to mid-May.

2, Spring tea pest control measures

(1) Timely picking of tea in batches: Spring tea is harvested every few days. Therefore, a small number of pests with tender tending and distribution at the picking site, such as the small green leafhopper, tea aphid, and leaf roller moth Instar larvae, tea-fine moths (eggs, larvae), tea leukosis, Chayuan, and tea bud blight are all frequently removed by the larvae to reduce their damage.

(2) Prevention and control of biological agents: For tea plants that must be controlled by pesticides for high density of insect populations, lepidopteran insect pests such as black tea moth and tea silkworm can be controlled by Bt or 2.5% rotenone emulsifiable concentrate 300--500 times. The safety interval is 3-5 days.
