The rice bio-preservation technology developed by Yueyang Jinniu Rice Industry Development Co., Ltd. of Hunan Province has passed expert appraisal a few days ago. This technology has filled a domestic gap and solved the problem of difficult grain storage. Rice is prone to hygroscopicity and mildew, so China's grain reserves have been dominated by rice. The storage space needed for storing rice is large, the storage and transportation costs are high, and it takes many fumigations and insecticides each year, which is easy to cause pollution to food. A few years ago, scientists from Jinniu Rice started to develop rice preservation technology. They used sodium bicarbonate, sodium diacetate and homemade GF biological preparations as formulas, and through thousands of experiments, repeated screening and optimization, made rice biological preservatives, and overcome the related technical problems. After testing, this technology can be used to keep rice for 1-2 years without insects, mildew, aging, fumigation and insecticide, mechanical cooling, etc.; non-toxic, non-polluting; can be processed with existing polishing machines. The processing cost per kilogram of rice is less than 1 cent. Compared with storing rice, it can save storage capacity and reduce transportation costs by about 30%.
